Sindh CM prioritizes promotion of higher education
Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah,
officially opened the International Medical and Technical College at the
Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences in Thatta District on
Monday. During the inauguration event, CM Murad Ali Shah highlighted the
significance of the occasion, stating that the inauguration marks a remarkable
milestone as they unveil the latest addition to the province, the International
Medical and Technical College of Liaquat University Medical & Health
Sciences Jamshoro in Thatta District. He expressed his pride and gratitude for
the individuals who tirelessly worked to turn this vision into reality.
CM Murad Ali Shah went on to emphasize the
establishment of various medical universities across the province and the
expansion of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease in different
districts of Sindh. These initiatives demonstrate the commitment of the Sindh
Government to advancing medical education and delivering healthcare services to
the people of Sindh. He attributed these efforts to the leadership of Asif Ali
Zardari, the former President of Pakistan, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the
Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
He also highlighted the achievements of Liaquat
University, underscoring its contributions in the fields of health services,
research, and medical education. The university has earned the distinction of
being the country's first public sector medical university, embodying quality
in medical education and healthcare services.
The establishment of the new campus is a
significant stride towards bolstering the region's healthcare infrastructure.
With a growing population and evolving challenges in the medical sector, having
a dedicated institution to train the upcoming generation of medical
professionals holds paramount importance. The campus is poised to enhance
medical education and provide quality healthcare services to the community.
