Informative forum held for school principals
Pearson Pakistan, in collaboration with the British Council,
organized a "Principals’ Forum" aimed at supporting Pearson's partner
schools and their students by showcasing inspirational experiences, educational
journeys, and the delivery of Pearson Edexcel qualifications. This event
provided a platform for a deeper understanding of the academic opportunities
and resources available to students in these partner schools.

The forum offered insights into the latest updates from
Pearson Edexcel, including an exciting preview of onscreen mock services, an
onscreen assessment roadmap, the 9-1 grading system, and a closer examination
of International GCSE and International A Levels modular qualifications.
Additionally, the British Council's role as an exam delivery partner,
facilitating exams across the country, was highlighted.
The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Kathryn Booth,
Director of Pearson School Qualifications for Pearson Middle East, North
Africa, Pakistan, and Turkey, Harriet Gardner, Regional Exams Director for
South Asia at the British Council, and Amanda Ingram, Exams Director for
Pakistan at the British Council. It was attended by leaders and principals from
Pearson Edexcel partner schools.
Ms. Kathryn Booth delivered a keynote presentation on "Preparing
Students for Their Future with Pearson Edexcel Qualifications." She
expressed her delight at seeing many schools in Pakistan recognizing the value
of International GCSEs and International A Levels. She noted that the
Principals’ Forum provided school leaders with a more detailed understanding of
their qualifications and introduced them to unique and innovative services,
including access to scripts and onscreen assessment.
Harriet Gardner, Regional Exams Director for South Asia at
the British Council, expressed her pleasure in collaborating with Pearson
Edexcel in Pakistan. She emphasized that their partnership supports young
people in gaining academic content that leads to globally recognized
qualifications. The British Council is dedicated to helping young people
develop the skills, confidence, and connections needed to transform their
lives, including through access to these qualifications.

Ghousia Naveed, Head of School at Beaconhouse School System
(BSS) AECHS Campus, shared insights about their adoption of the Pearson Edexcel
International GCSE Onscreen Assessment program, which was piloted by five
campuses under the MoU between Beaconhouse School Systems and Pearson Edexcel.
She expressed enthusiasm about beginning this quality journey with Pearson
Edexcel, providing students with a significant opportunity to excel in their
learning journey.
Waleed Mushtaq, CEO of Roots International Schools &
Colleges, shared his testimonial and insights regarding the adoption of Pearson
Edexcel International GCSE and iPrimary qualifications across their schools.
Asma Saleem, General Manager of the Department of
International Qualifications, Curriculum & Assessments at The Millennium
Education, delivered a session on the value of Pearson Edexcel Early Years and iPrimary
qualifications across their campuses.
The event was deemed a success as participants left with
valuable insights and a deeper understanding of the academic tools available to
enhance the quality of education for learners at their respective institutions.
This success was attributed to the effective organization and execution of the
forum by Pearson Pakistan and the British Council.
