KP Governor asks provincial universities to increase
scholarships for poor students
Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Ghulam Ali has impressed
upon public and private universities in the province to increase scholarships
for poor and deserving students.
Addressing the convocation ceremony of a private university
in Peshawar, the Governor said all institutions of higher learning in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa should award 20 to 50 scholarships and admissions to students who
are poor yet deserving.
He asked the universities to allocate special scholarships
for male and female students belonging to each merged district.
During the ceremony, the Governor conferred 31 gold medals and 354 degrees to graduating students.
